What are the purpose of these yellow ribbons? There are two, one by each bootlid hinge. The thin metal strip is severed in each one. They are about 2 inches long. They don't seem to do anything. They are damaged

Would they be affecting my remote locking, as my keys are good, but they don't work on the remote locking
