what is the cambelt change intervals for a peugot 306 diesel,the last time i had the cambelt changed was about 80000 mile ago,the car now has 172,000 now.

If this is the HDi, the cambelt change interval is 90,000 - 100,000 miles.

When I ran one of these, I never let it go that far and had it changed around 75,000. Having said that, on each occasion the old belt was in perfect condition.

If I were you I'd be having it done soonish - and the full kit of pulley tensioner and water pump fitted at the same time.

Seconded - whichever diesel engine it is. The car is at least 14 years old and should probably be well into its third belt by now.

100,000 miles may be ok for the first cambelt but I'm not so sure I'd let the second one go that long. And most definitely not the third.
