Hi,

bought a plant trailer and was told by main dealer it was road worthy ?

Secondhand, and noticed after 30 or so miles that the ring connector part moves up and down a little over 1/4 of an inch.

Forgive my ignorance but it does move around a bit on the pin, in fact when ihad done a 400 mile trip the brand new pin (ring and pin) was noticeable worn and rpunded where the ring was moving.

Firstly should i have a shim made so the pin fits snugly into the ring to stop the moving and most import please.

Is this safe with the movement i really can't have the risk of this coming apart.

Any help or advice wouldbe greatly appreaciated as a non mechanic person.
