SEAT Alhambra - Low bite point on clutch - Nutkey

Diesel Alhamba, 2013, 7.5K miles.

Just bought this vehicle, and something I didn't notice on the test drive is that the bite point on the clutch is very low - if I fail to press my foot all the way down and leave the pedal a few mm off the floor, I can feel vibrations coming through the pedal.

Is this normal, and I should just get used to it, or something to get fixed? By far the newest car I've ever owned....

If it disengages before you push it right to the floor the clutch itself should be OK but it sounds as though the thrust bearing is faulty. It could be normal, depends on how bad the vibration is.

Take it back to the dealer and ask them to check it.

Ask to drive an identical car, if its different (more normal?) than yours use that as evidence.

Would not expect a clutch issue on a car with that mileage unless the previous owner seriously abused it, some people do.
