I have a Honda civic type S 54 plate, The VSA light plus the exclamation light is on. the Honda garage said following a diagnostic the VSA modulator needs renewing at a cost of £1600 +.

If I bought one from a breakers yard can it be fitted and work or does it have a code from the donating car? Are there any other issues or is it straight forward fit it and away we go?

If I need a code will I have to take it to a Honda dealer, will they give ma a code, if they have not provided the part. Cheers.
