Peugeot 206 1.1 - Failed MOT on High CO and just passed on Lambda - stuartl

My ex-wifes Pug has just failed the MOT with a CO reading between 0.64 and 0.67.

The MOT station suggested doing a diagnostics check (at £40) but I wondered if there was a probable cause for these high readings.

Does it sound like the CAT needs replacing?

If all the other emission reading are within spec,then I would say the cat is u/s.

Other results on fast idle were:

CO 0.64, HC 128, Lambda 1.028

Does this help at all?

Thats ok I would rather it be a bolt on part than something complicated that I cant fix! Many thanks for your replies!!
