Vauxhall Vectra 06 - Knocking - Jeffo77

I have recently brought a 2006 vectra but it seems to be knocking when i start it with the clutch staying slightly down once i turn engine off lift the clutch up its fine was wondering if this is the clutch going or something else.

Diesel? From my experiences with Vectras it could the DMF starting to fail. www.vectra-c.com has a load of useful information on it regarding this in the forums.
