VW Golf 2.0 TDI 2006 - Loss of power following RTA - coincidence? - TracyW
My Golf was hit from behind at speed a few weeks ago while I was stopped at a junction. It was still able to be driven but the day it was picked up for repair I noticed a loss of power. I had it back last Wednesday and out of the blue today it lost power when going around a roundabout. It was then OK after stopping and restarting, but had no power after a second stop.

A few weeks prior to the accident the engine light was on and was cleared by changing the ECG valve. The car mainly gets used for commuting but I also use it for towing a light caravan.

Could the loss of power have been as a results of the accident or just a coincidence? I am taking it back to the accident and repair garage in the morning to see what they think.
