What's wrong with my C5?

My 2001 Citroen C5 petrol is losing power. It will tick-over find, but once you go above 3000rpm it will struggle. Any ideas?

Could be the mass airflow sensor but most likely to be a catalytic converter matrix broken up and blocking the exhaust.
