Incorrect parking charge notice - should I ignore it?

I have received a parking charge notice from a private firm, which states that I was parked in a restricted area in Nottingham last Saturday. This is an error because neither my car nor myself were in Nottingham at the time stated -I have never been to Nottingham!

I have explained this by email and now have received an email saying that in order to appeal I must provide the driver's address. As my car wasn't there, there wasn't a driver! Shall I ignore this? And what are the implications if I do?

Tell them that if they take this any further based on their erroneous information you will allow the matter to go to court and will countersue them for your costs and for the illegal harassment that their negligence has resulted in.
