Can I challenge an insurance claim?

Our daughter accidentally hit our neighbour’s car during a parking manoeuvre. The neighbour in question witnessed the low speed ‘bump’ and claims their car is now dented. I have looked at the damage and don't believe it’s physically possible, due to the shape and position of the dent. The matter is now with our insurance companies, but I am wondering if I can challenge the claim?

Your insurer will almost inevitably simply pay up. If you wish to challenge the claim, take the matter to the small claims track of the county court via www.moneyclaim.gov.uk
