Dispute with a finance company

I bought the above MINI in 2009. I 'scrapped' a perfectly good 16 yr old Volvo for this car and wish I hadn't! I've had nothing but problems with it since new.

New steering. New heat inverters. New Gearbox. New suspension- the list goes on.

It has not long come out of the garage, again, for on-going issues which the garage/dealer say that they have gone as far as they can and I should take the matter up with MINI Finance.

MINI Finance were informed of the issues before and during the visit to the garage/dealer and I've had no reply. I've tried calling them to discuss the on-going problems but keep getting passed onto different departments?

I've had enough of the car, the problems and lack of support from the Finance Co. Consumer Direct have suggested writing to the Finance company and asking for my deposit and compensation. I was interested in your opinion and any suggestions that you could pass onto me regarding this.

Law here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/ The responsibility is jointly between the supplying dealer and the finance house. But you have owned the car for more than two years and that makes rejecting it very difficult. You need professional help which you have to pay for and which could be expensive.
