Car losing power and revs
My Clio is playing up when idle - it will drop revs, nearly cutting out but then it revs back up and just keeps doing this until I turn the engine off.

When I restart it's fine again for some times a few miles, some times all day. It's difficult to pull away when the problem occurs. So far I have new plugs, HT leads, fuel filter and crankshaft sensor.

Well we would suggest that you check out the following ( in this order)
1. Air intake system/vacuum system for leaks
2. Fuel pressure/delivery rate/fuel pressure regulator
3. Fuel pump/connections
4. ECT (engine coolant temp) sensor
5. HO2S (heated oxygen ) sensor
6. IAC (Idle air control valve)
7. MAP (manifold absolute pressure)sensor
8. TP (throttle position ) sensor

This is on the assumption that you have tried a diagnostic check but have not got any fault codes (as you can see there are a few sensors) and a diagnostic check will sometimes show up which sensor is at fault, which saves going through all the above checks.
