Olive haul

My son in law's SAAB has done 165,000 miles and now needs replacing. Unfortunately he has a lot of back trouble and needs a car with adjustable lumbar support on the front seats. He travels from South Yorkshire to Surrey and back every week for work. The car also needs to be able to cope with bringing back 200 litres plus of olive oil from their Abruzzan olive farm every November as well as coping with short journeys on Italy's white roads. He is not looking for a new car. What can you suggest that might fit the bill?

A Honda Civic 2.2i CDTI 5-door would be a good idea because it has 'magic' rear seats, the squabs of which life up turning the centre of the car into a load area. This is particularly useful for carrying 200 litres of oil because it means the weight can be packed low down and in the centre of the car, ensuring minimal effect on its stability. Best buy on the smallest wheels with deepest profile tyres available to cope with those rough roads.
