The steering in my Ford Focus feels light - any idea why?
Recently I've noticed that upon acceleration at 50-60mph the steering on my Ford Focus Mk1 feels very light, to the point that I feel I could lose control if I enter a lane to quickly without breaking. I have tried to look this up but get all sorts of possible issues, from steering rack problems to loose wheel bearings, or even a worn U-joint coupling in the steering column. When driving at slower speeds it's not so bad, but putting my foot down makes me cautious. The car itself does not make any clunking sounds or whining sounds so far. Any ideas?

probably too much toe-in (or not enough toe-out).
