High viz vests for everyone in the car, carried inside the car, two warning triangles, the vehicle's original V5C documents, GB plate, left dipping headlights and headlights, or DRLs on in the daytime in Italy. Fines for Italian traffic offences in your own car can take 12 months to filter through but will be enforced via UK courts if you don't pay.
