Does the Volkswagen Fox have the same engine as the Skoda Fabia?

My daughter is buying a Volkswagen Urban Fox 1.2 but unfortunately Haynes do not produce a workshop manual for the car. My other daughter has a 2006 1.2 Skoda Fabia for which I have a workshop manual. Is the engine (three-cylinder chain cam) in the Fox the same as the Fabia?
