How can I speed up engine repairs to my ex-demo Volvo C70 2.0D?

I bought an 11-month-old ex-Volvo management C70 with 4400 miles on the clock from a Volvo dealer in February 2010. Included in the deal was the first annual service. On 2nd June at 7700 miles, the car behaved erratically when the engine twice lost power at 2000-2500rpm, and then raced when the clutch was depressed and the load taken off the engine with my foot off the accelerator. The second time the engine stopped and the car was taken to my local Volvo dealer - not the one from whom I bought the car.

Initially I was told there was too much oil in the engine and the repair work may not be covered under warranty. After pointing out that I had not added any oil to the engine and that a Volvo dealer had been the last one to add oil, it was eventually agreed by Volvo UK that the work would be done under warranty. It is nearly 10 weeks and I still do not have my car back. I have written to Volvo Cars UK and spoken to the dealer on a weekly basis. No-one seems to be interested in me as a customer, keeping me informed or providing any sort of meaningful customer service. Today I called the dealer who said the engine needs to be rebuilt, that it's a big job and takes time, and that the car may be ready at the end of the week (this was said last week). What can I do to speed things up?

Reads like a choked diesel particulate filter from too many short runs from cold and the fuel that was supposed to regenerate it has sunk to the sump. You're lucky the engine did not start to run on its sump oil uncontrollably.
