Would you recommend a hybrid, such as a Toyota Prius, for motorway use?

Would you recommend a Prius or similar for motorway journeys, including on the Continent? If not, what's the drawback?

No because hybrids are at their most efficient in suburban and local use, rather than long distance use. For long distance, better a diesel.
