Volkswagen Golf 2.0 TDI rattle - is it related to the emissions problem?
You answered a question on 13 December about VAG emission changes. including this:

I have a 2016 Volkswagen Golf 2.0 TDI and it is supposedly not affected by the emissions issue, but it does rattle between 1200rpm and 1500rpm. Most noticeably in third and fourth gear. Assuming the retrospective 'fix' has been applied to production models from last year on, where do we owners of 'not affected', newish models stand with the rattling?

Your engine is a completely different EA288 diesel that is low NOx and not affected by the recall. But I guess you are hoping for torque where there isn't much. You can improve it by running on Shell V-Power Nitro Plus diesel that has higher cetane so gives more torque at low rpm.
