Is my Jaguar XF's used car warranty still valid despite exceeding mileage restriction?

I bought a used Jaguar X-Type from an independent car dealer just under three months ago and I was given a 3-month warranty with it. The clutch has now failed, which is covered by the warranty, however the garage is saying that it cannot do the work under warranty because the car has done more than 3000 miles since I bought it. The warranty schedule that I was given and signed says 'Three months from the date of sale shown in this schedule or 3000 miles from the mileage shown in this schedule'. The date of sale has been written on the schedule and it is less than three months since I bought the car, but the mileage that the car had done when I bought it is not written on the schedule, therefore leading me to believe that the warranty is for three months with no mileage restriction. Can somebody let me know if the warranty is still valid due to the fact the mileage has not been written on the schedule?

If the warranty had a mileage restriction, then the warranty company would probably have been informed of the mileage when the car was sold. If you've exceeded 3000 miles, then the chances of getting the warranty company to pay are very small indeed.
