Can I leave my child unattended in the front seat of my car?

Is it safe to leave a 5-year-old child to play in a parked car behind the steering wheel? Is there any possibility that the child can activate an airbag and get injured? We have two cars in the family, a Ford Escape and a Hyundai Getz.

Are you out of your mind? Never, ever leave children unattended in cars. They are not playpens.
