Can I fit non-runflats to my MINI?

I want to replace the runflat tyres on my MINI Cooper Convertible 2010 with non-runflats to save money and improve driving comfort.

1. Is this possible or is the MINI designed only to run with runflats?

2. Will the car handle better or worse without runflats, particularly in cold weather conditions?

3. Which brand/model of non-runflat tyre would you recommend for fuel efficiency and wet grip (the car is driven on a combination of road surfaces - country lanes and motorways)?

It's possible to do this. R56 MINI Coopers come on 15, 16 or 17-inch wheels and tyres. You can get softer compound non-runflat tyres, as well as all weather tyres such as Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons, Vredestein Quatracs, Bridgestone A001s and Pirelli Scorpion M+S. But obviously if you get a puncture you will be stuck. Tyre repair/inflation kits almost always don't work and almost always ruin the carcass of the tyre.
