Buying extended warranty - which option is best?
The 3-year standard warranty on my 2011 Ford Mondeo TDCi 163 Titanium X Estate is about to expire. Over the last three years I’ve covered 25,000 miles and the car has been faultless - so far.
Warranty Direct want £359/1st year, £592/2nd year, £825/third year, but my (reliable) Ford dealer, who has supplied and serviced the car has quoted £299/£425/£549 for a warranty - and the £549 is said to be negotiable.
I know you rate Warranty Direct, but do you have any experience of the Ford warranty? Are the two warranties comparable?

No experience of the Ford warranty. But if you buy it from the same dealer you bought the car from, who also services the car, then there should not be any problems over claims.
Just be clear precisely what is covered and what is not covered. Wear and tear items like the clutch and brake pads and brake discs will not be, but the dual mass flywheel should be.
