Mazda 2 Sport intermittent engine idling issue

i have a 2 year old Mazda 2 sport (1.5 Petrol with 27,000 miles). When sitting at traffic lights the engine struggles to idle at the correct RPM. It sounds and feels like its about to stall but it doesn't, it keeps running.

This is only an intermittent issue abd it doesn't happen when the air conditioning is on. It was at Mazda for a service a few weeks ago but they say all is fine. Would you happen to know what this might be before I contact the Mazda dealer again?

Insufficient load on the engine for it to run at normal idle unless the load of the a/c compressor is imposed. Should be easy to fix.
