My Skoda Yeti can slip out of gear when reversing - has this been improved on the new Yeti?

I have a Motability Skoda Yeti 1.2 TSI with the DSG automatic gearbox. I love the car but have found the gearbox unsatisfactory in that it can slip out of gear when reversing slowly (uphill, usually) and it has a slight pause before take up, at junctions. As I said, I love the car for its space, its height, its comfort and its general performance. I have to change it next year. Has Skoda done anything to improve the gearbox or what do you recommend as a similar replacement?

These are the standard complaints of the Skoda DSG, whether 6-speed wet clutches or 7-speed dry clutches (as yours is). Alternatives are a Ford B-Max Powershift (same as a DSG but works better) or a KIA Venga or Hyundai ix20 1.6 4-speed torque converter auto.
