Does the Mini have any DPF issues?

My wife has bought a 2012 Mini Countryman with a diesel engine. She does about 3000 miles a year on local trips; what problems can she anticipate with the DPF?

BMWs generally don't seem to suffer significant DPF problems. But to keep her DPF clear and give it a change to regenerate she needs to balance short runs from cold with longer ones of at least 10 miles. Better still, find a reason to regularly visit someone involving 20-30 miles of motorway.
