I've been happily insured with Liverpool Victoria for nearly fifty years.

I first went to Liverpool Victoria via Frizzels in April 1966 and have been with them ever since. Back in the 1980s I had ‘any driver’ fully comp, when my second daughter was driving and the car was written off, not her fault. I bought a Mini while the claim was being sorted, but my third daughter wrote that off. She was the last car in a 4-car shunt, therefore her fault. This was four weeks after the first accident.

I reported it to LV the following morning, and told the young lady I spoke to that I’d decided to change to owner driver only. The only comment by LV was, “Oh we are pleased.” Both claims were sorted without any problem or increase in my insurance premium. Is it any wonder that I have stayed with LV now for 46 years? I’m 82 and I have told them that I expect a framed insurance certificate in April 2016 for 50 years of satisfactory service.

More excellence from LV. It's not all 100 per cent, but more so than any other insurer.
