Hit and run of my friend a cyclist

My friend who is 15 was hit by a car while on his bike. The car drove off without stopping leaving him on the ground.

The witness and the boy himself managed to get the VRN and told the police three weeks ago.

There are four cameras at the accident site, so the incident should have been recorded. The police are taking ages to act, even though he is a youngster and there is a witness - it is three weeks now.

The council only keeps CCTV for four weeks, and I'm hoping that the police gets its act together, and the CCTV is not lost, and I can get the boy justice.

Have you got a crime number for the incident? That is the first thing. If the police won't act, get a solicitor onto the matter and insist that they do. This is a very serious matter, possibly involving a jail term for the offender.
