Vauxhall Curser

Three years ago we bought a Vauxhall Corsa Design 1400 automatic. We like the car but we are not happy with the fuel consumption. The manual says it should do 330 miles on a full tank but our car only does 250 (£60). We have had it checked by the Vauxhall dealer and we were told it was ok. Do we get rid of it?

Never expect too much for a torque converter auto such as this. Especially one used for comparatively short runs. But getting rid and buying something more economical could cost you a lot more than the saving in fuel costs.

I've recently purchased a Volvo S40 2.4-litre petrol. What mpg should it get? I'm currently getting 26mpg and 30mpg on a run out.
