Discredithired

I received this message from Volkswagen and would like your advice as to whether this is a good thing for me to consider, would this be £50 well spent? <>

Most manufacturers are now introducing these schemes, to ensure their cars are repaired properly and can be sold by their dealers as used cars. It also cuts out accident management outfits and credit hire cowboys. So it’s a good thing. But some insurers demand a £200 excess if you nominate your own repairer rather than theirs.
