Foresight saga

You will not be surprised to read that in September 2010 I moved my comprehensive policy to Saga at £235. September 2011 renewal paperwork arrived at a cost now of £337, an increase of 43%, but with a 'Price Match Guarantee'. I therefore went to Confused.com and quickly obtained identical cover for £227, a reduction of 3%, which Saga very quickly agreed to honour. I suppose the only lesson to learn is shop around?

That's how it is with almost any Private Equity owned business. I get mixed reports about Saga, Acromas and Claimfast, but on balance generally favourable.
