When should I think about changing my 2008 Audi Q5 for a Range Rover Evoque?
I own an Audi Q5 2008 bought as soon as the vehicle was released into the UK market. I managed to persuade the dealer to sell me their demo model at 1,200 miles. As it was the launch vehicle, it is full spec with pretty much everything on it and I have added an official Audi towbar. It is metallic silver, I have it dealer-serviced every 10,000 miles and I fit a pair of tyres at the same mileage, moving the front to the rear so each pair gets 20,000 miles. I average around 36mpg from the 2.0 TDI engine. My annual mileage is in excess of 25,000 so the vehicle has now reached 60,000. I love the car as I pretty much live in it. I bought it outright. My question is: When should I consider changing it? I would be interested in the new Range Rover Evoque as an alternative to another Q5.

There is still a long waiting list for Q5s (and a longer waiting list for F25 X3s). This will artificially boost the value of yours, but not if it covers more miles because the mileage will then make it undesirable. The F25 X3 is currently leader of the pack. But the Evoque, though very expensive, is looking good on 18-inch wheels. Far better than it looked on the stupid motorshow 20-inch wheels.
