Viva Aviva

My cars are insured with Aviva. Last year my car was broken into. I phoned Aviva and gave them the details. Shortly afterwards I had a call from a Basingstoke garage arranging to collect my car and leave a replacement. On driving the replacement later that day I was aware of heavy smoking odour within.

I called the garage and another car was brought to replace it. Throughout the repair process the garage kept me informed of progress. It was an excellent level of service from Aviva. I later found out that Aviva owns the garage, the car hire company and, of course, the RAC. Also bearing mind their car premiums are extremely competitive, I cannot praise them more highly.

Well then that is excellent because it avoids the credit hire scam perpetrated by so many other brokers on unsuspecting policyholders, whereby an 'accident management company' takes care of their claim, puts them into an expensive hire car for which they are liable if the insurers don't pay, then extends the period of the repair to make the cost of the hire as expensive as possible.
