Is the SEAT Ibiza ST Sport a good replacement for my Altea?

I am recently retired and now only doing short journeys around town with the occasional long motorway trip. I am following your advice by changing from diesel to petrol. I am trading in my SEAT Altea 1.9TDI for an Ibiza ST Sport 1.2TSI 105. Is this a good choice, as I have read great reviews of this engine? I have also considered the C3 Picasso.

Yes, a very good choice. Excellent car, good looking and more sensibly priced than a hard-to-get South African built Polo (there was a strike). A further advantage is that this chain cam engine has a water-cooled turbo using radiator coolant that also works as a heat exchanger, so the engine and cabin warm up much faster in winter.
