Insurance prices too hight

I own a 2004 118d BMW. Lovely car.

I am 29, have been driving for 12 years with 9 years no claims. I have 3 points on my license for going thriugh a red light a year ago. I also live in London.

My insurance quotes are all around £1400 (Aviva being the cheapest at £1364). Is it me or is this very expensive? - I know a colleague who owns two Audis and a Jag and gets all three cars for cheaper than this!.

I have the feeling I am being labelled a 'boy racer' but when will I get to lose that tag?

No accidents and one debatable offence in 12 years must surely count for something? Or is this just the price you pay for driving in London?

Probably the car, the fact you live in London and your conviction. Try Liverpool Victoria.
