Winter wheels and tyres for an S60

Can I fit my winter tyres fitted on a set of original 16 inch Volvo V70 Alloy to my Volvo S60 D5 SE, which came from factory with 17 inch alloy wheels?

If this is the old shape S60 and if the wheels fit around the brake calipers then should be okay as the old S60 and old V70 share the same basic floorpan. Try a front wheel first as these have the biggest brakes.
