Ford Focus central locking problem
I have a Ford Focus TD saloon on a T reg. The central locking works fine on the key and the remote and when you drive off the central locking locks all doors, which is ok because it always has.
The problem is: when you stop and switch off the engine it doesn't unlock the doors. I have to lean across and use the passenger door handle to open the car that way.

Well it may be worth check fuse 63.However it is difficult to find.
1.Open the Glove box ,swing it down and you will see the fuse box.
2.Undo the two 7mm bolts and push the two white tangs in to release the fusebox from the metal casing.
3.You then need to lower it down and turn it around and there on the fuse box (hidden between the wires) is fuse 63 (it is a lock fuse 20 amp)
Replace the fuse and see if the locks now work.
Another thing to try is
1.Look under the drivers side dashboard
2.Under there there should be a box with SIEMENS on it, this is the remote control signal box
3.Remove the cables attched to it and leave for 1 hour.
4.Then go back and refit the cables.
5.See if the lock system now works.
You may want to try option 2 first as this is a easy check.
