Passat pollen filter

How do you change the seal on the pollen filter on my Passat?

It's a very fiddly, knucklescraping job because of the conversion from LHD to RHD. The worst bit is removing and re-fitting the pollen filter waterproof cover without damaging it. But it's just logical common sense. It is situated on the right hand side of the bulkhead vent well, as you face the car, so over the passenger footwell.
