Renault Megane stalling

Our 2006 Renault Megane Sport has a chronic stalling problem, worse after filling with petrol. The garage seems unable to pinpoint the problem. It has done 11,500miles. Is this a known quirk or are we just unlucky?

Probably the fuel tank sender pump, its relay, or the earth to the pump or the relay.
