Branded or unbranded?

Budget tyres can cost more than 50% less than branded tyres.
Tyre salesmen say that they are made to exactly the same spec as branded tyres so why pay more?

Tell you what. Get a set and see for yourself how they ride, handle, sound and last. If your car is already quite old you might as well. If it's relatively new I'd stick to long lasting, relatively quiet, low rolling resistance tyres such as Michelin Energy Savers.
