Diesel additives
Today's diesel fuel is low sulphur - an EU requirement for polution control - but sulphur helps lubricate the fuel system. I have been told that by adding 2 stroke oil (1 to 200) to each tank of fuel this will help HP pump lubrication and prolong injector life as well as increasing the time between DPF regens. It also makes the engine run quieter apparently. Grateful for your opinion.

There are many thoughts and discussions on Diesel additives, some say it doesn't make any diffence, other would always use it.There doesn't seem to be any car manufacturer who supports the idea. Modern day fuel is normally of sufficent quality that would suggest tha no other additive is required.
On a personal note i have had a number of diesel engine cars and have never put additive in.
In addition i am not aware that major hauliers ( HGV trucks that do in excess of 500,000 kms per year) put any additives in the engines.
