Primera lacks power

I have a problem with power. The rev counter only goes to 2,000 revs and the engine management light has came on.

I have been told it's something to do with the turbo not kicking in. Either the pipe has come undone, the valve has came loose or there's a hole in the pipe.

The car has been fully serviced at a main dealer and I've just bought the car three weeks ago.

If you have brought the car from a dealer then would suggest that you return it and get him/her to put it on a diagnostic check, which should show up the fault.
The engine management light is indicating a fault, which could be a number of things, so rather than guessing the check should save time and money.
If not from a dealer then would still suggest the diagnostic check.
faults could be one of the sensors, ie cam/crank sensor,MAF sensor,Lambda sensor.
