Replacing a 10-year-old Zafira

I have a 10 year old Zafira that I've had since new and has been really reliable.

However, I drive with my seat in its furthest back position and my teenage boys now complain there's not enough legroom in their seats behind me.

I'm now looking for a similar small MPV but with more legroom in the centre row of seats.

I've considered the S-Max but having had to change tyres twice in the past year, I've been put off as I've just discovered it doesn't carry a spare wheel.

Is there a similar-sized MPV to the Zafira that allows more legroom in the centre row of seats and which has been designed to carry a spare tyre?

Galaxy, new Alhambra and New Sharan offer more room but don't have spare tyres. Can't think of any new 7 seater MPV that does.

My daughter is planning to replace her Chrysler Voyager with a similar seven-seater vehicle. She has looked at the Volkswagen Sharan but thinks it's a bit pricey.

Strong yet frugal diesel engines. Clever use of space inside with integrated child seats. Standard DAB. Practical sliding rear side door.
Proper seven-seat practicality which is more than you can say for most SUVs, practical and spacious even with all seven seats occupied, sliding rear doors are a real boon especially the electric versions.
