My car insurance company is asking if I drive at peak times, will the pay out if I say no?

Another crafty move by car insurance companies. Asking the question 'do you drive at peak times?'

When you are retired you try and avoid peak times so you put 'no', but what happens if you are driving in peak times and have a claim, will they pay out? But it's another way to increase your premium as it will increase if you put yes

Insurance companies are always looking to quantify risk in order to set premiums, and unfortunately this means an increased level of scrutiny around drivers and their habits. Asking for a yes or no answer to this question is unfair, but unless your policy specifically prohibits you from driving at peak times - and if it does, it should state exactly what those peak times are - then it should not prevent a payout in the event that a claim is made when driving at peak times.
