What is a 1.2 Ford Fiesta 2013 like on the motorway?

The Ford Fiesta 1.25 isn't very quick but it's reliable and cheap to run.

The 0-62mph sprint takes a leisurely 17 seconds, which means you have to work the engine and gearbox quite hard to reach motorway cruising speeds. The engine is also a bit noisy, as you only have five gears. That said, once you are up to 70mph, the 1.25 petrol engine is comfortable enough and Real MPG suggests it'll return 40+mpg on the road.

The key benefit of this engine is found in its reliability - it's near bulletproof. I haven't heard of a single complaint about this engine in all of my time at HonestJohn.co.uk. I actually owned a 2010 Fiesta 1.25 some years ago, before selling it on to a family member. It hasn't missed a beat and is still going strong today, after 150,000 miles.
