Why has the DVLA introduced a new style driving licence?
There is a new UK driving licence style from December 2021. It looks quite different from the previous licence.

The DVLA has said that the latest iterative changes to the driving licence photocard are to update the background design and security features under a new card contract.
They have reiterated that drivers do not need to do anything i.e. there is no need to update your licence.
