Toyota RAV4 vs Mazda CX-5 - which is the better buy?

I can't decide between the Toyota RAV4 petrol hybrid or the Mazda CX-5 diesel. Both appear to be great cars. Can you please give your opinion on which one should I go for?

It comes down to the kind of mileage you're going to cover. If you're expecting to cover a lot of miles (more than 12,000 a year) including regular motorway trips, a diesel would be better so we'd recommend the Mazda. If you cover low miles or more urban journeys, we'd recommend the RAV4.
