With some hesitation

I have a 6 year old Audi TT 3.2DSG, that I have had since new and still very much enjoy, except for one big problem. It stops without warning. At anytime, any place anywhere, the power goes. Also it will not restart and sounds quite dreadful when the engine turns over. The Audi garage says they can find nothing wrong with it. The engine management light is on again and Audi say it should not be driven when the light is on. Please let me know what you would do.

Faults develop with the DSG 'mechatronics' and I think part of it is the system that shuts off the throttle when the brakes are applied. The delay this causes can get progressively worse as the cars get older.
