Over-inched

In Sept '07 I bought a new Range Rover TDV8 Sport. It went straight to Overfinch for cosmetics only, including 22" alloys. Main Dealers are now telling me that steering, suspension and drivetrain will not be covered by the Manufacturer's Warranty. This is a recent decision, they tell me. I just had to pay £185 for anti-roll bar bushes. Interestingly, the dealer intimated that any RR fitted with the (RR) optional 20" wheels with a Warranty claim on the above parts is referred back to Land Rover. Overfinch were apparently unaware of this restriction and say they are talking to Land Rover about it. I wonder if you were aware of this restriction and do you think it reasonable, especially the Drivetrain?

Of course they aren't covered. What a ridiculous, stupid, numb-headed thing to do to the car. Where buyers specify 20" wheels as original equipment Land Rover fits a special suspension package to cope with them. But 22" wheels on a 4x4 are simply brainless bling.
